Northeast Sporthorses is a service dedicated to providing clients and trainers with quality sporthorses suitable for hunter, jumper, dressage and eventing disciplines. We are not brokers, but rather agents of top quality sporthorses. We provide professional assistance to horse owners or trainers who wish to either buy or sell a horse and have created a comprehensive plan to market our clients horses. Our honest, ethical and reputable contacts enable us to provide our clients with high quality, valuable horses for their money thus saving time, money and the frustrations that can occur.
We also assist clients in finding horses elsewhere if the horses we have listed do not fit the criteria.
In this case we add 10% onto the price of the horse to cover our commission. We spend countless hours online, speaking with trainers, driving to get videos, editing/posting videos online, scheduling appointments etc. The 10% commission covers us. We advertise our listings and our website on many different internet sites, as well as popular magazines such as the Chronicle of the Horse, The Equine Journal and the Horseman's Yankee Peddlar. Our marketing allows your horse to gain greater exposure to many riders and trainers instead of just local interest.

How to List A Horse with Us
There is no charge/fee to list your horse with Northeast Sporthorses. There is a 10% commission, based on the selling price, due at the time of sale when your sporthorse is sold through our efforts, or clients. We typically add this commission into the "listed price" so there is no cost to you. All offers will be brought to you, the seller, so you have complete knowledge and control of those wishing to view/trial/purchase your horse. This allows you the freedom to advertise your horse on your own as well. To submit your horse, just contact us with his/her show name, breed, age, height, discipline, and show records. We require a quality, recent picture and video. The pictures can be sent by regular mail, or as a jpeg to email. A short video will be needed to show potential clients your horses training and ability. Recent show footage, home footage w/flat work is acceptable. Remember! You are trying to entice potential clients, but need to honestly represent your horse so please show him to the best of his/her ability. If you are making one solely for us it should include: a comformation shot, a close up of the horses legs ; including any permanent blemishes as well as the horse walking/trotting toward and away from the camera; to show straightness of travelling. Also include walking, trotting and cantering in both directions, as well as flying changes. If your horse is a hunter/jumper please include a course suitable to his ability or free-jumping for any prospects. Total length of video should not exceed 15 minutes although we can edit it down for you. If you are unable to provide these, we can make arrangements to photograph and video your horse for a fee. Please call to ask about this service. Northeast Sporthorses will send out copies to interested parties and contact you to arrange viewing and trials of your horse.
